Single Father Mentoring Program

The Fathers & Sons Single Father Mentoring Program is offered primarily to men who are involved in the case plan of the local children's protective services organization. Many are suffering economic hardship, but have the desire to shoulder the responsibility of joint or even full custody.

The Father & Sons Fatherhood Advocate Resource Center

The Father & Sons Fatherhood Advocate Resource Center (FARC) is committed to increasing the number of low-income fathers who gain access to their biological children through the successful navigation of the courts. Our specially trained facilitators:

Fathers & Sons of Northeast Ohio
  • Provide informational sessions that teach noncustodial parents about court navigation and documentation. This is necessary to start the process of court-ordered visitation and custody of biological children.
  • Assist in completing a request for a reduction of child support by applying for a modification hearing and/or a reduction of payment. This may be applicable if the parent is suffering from a mental or physical disability, chronic unemployment, secondary felony convictions, or lack of education.

  • Work with local child support agencies to help fathers gain the privilege of license reinstatement.
  • Help noncustodial fathers complete their putative registration list application, which allows a birth father to receive written notice of a proposed adoption placement.
