If child support payments are not being used for the child’s needs, it can be considered a misuse of those funds. Mothers who spend child
support on themselves rather than the child may face consequences if it’s established that the child’s needs are not being met.

Play an important role in a child's development and can affect a child's social competence, performance in school and emotion regulation.
Fathers can also affect a child's wellbeing indirectly. A supportive relationship between parents is linked to better self-regulation in a child.
My name is Fehogia Makaveli and I learned about Fathers and Sons, Daddy Boot Camp program from word of mouth and online. I am currently a stay-at-home Dad in the process of getting sole custody of my son. My biggest challenges are having enough energy, strength and time to myself and finding support. The most important thing that I learned about being a dad is that being a parent is not for the weak minded.
Some of the most important issues that I had was when I found out I was being played by the mother of my child. I would give her money for my son and for her to pay some bills, but she was not using the money for the needs of my child. I am in the process of getting sole custody of my son through the Children Services.

One in every four families in America have single fathers as Head of Household. The number of single fathers' who are the primary caretakers of one or more children has doubled in the last 20 years. Many of these men grew up in single parent homes headed by their mothers.
When asked if Mr. Kelly grew up with his father in the home or if he had a relationship with his father, he answered "Yes and No."
I knew my father and he did things for me at times, my father and I didn't have a great relationship though. He never told me he loved me or even hugged me. I don't even know his mother or father's names. If my father was still alive, I would have a million question for him. I don't believe that my father knew anything about love or how to even have a relationship with me.
Research consistently shows that a father's positive and involved presence in a child's life is associated with a reduction in violence and other negative outcomes, including improved emotional and social well-being, better school performance, and fewer behavioral problems.
Mr. Kelly is a custodial fathers whose involvement and care of his children have produced positive outcomes that have reduced the likelihood of parenting violent children. There are two main indicators that have a major positive impact on enforcing a child's social and emotional wellbeing, 1.) spending time with your child 2.) providing for their physical needs. Kelly is doing a wonderful job at fulfilling his children's need in both of those areas. He has taken his involvement a step further and is now involved in teaching other men in his community about practicing responsible fatherhood.
